About 15 years since the original start of The Office, pictures of this entertaining cast look quite different! You can see a large set of images of the cast members then and now here, having aged quite well! This past spring we were able to celebrate the original launch of The Office.

While any day is a good day to celebrate NBC’s iconic sitcom, March 24 is especially relevant, as the series that made stars out of Steve Carell, John Krasinski, Mindy Kaling, Rainn Wilson and more premiered 15 years ago.

Steve Carrell – The Lead

Then, he served as the regional manager of Dunder Mifflin, and before starring on the show, Steve Carell was a cast member on The Dana Carvey Show and had starred in a number of films, including Bruce Almighty, Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy, and The 40-Year-Old Virgin, which premiered the same year as the series. And Now, after winning many Primetime Emmy Awards for this role, Carell is a household name. His is known for multiple box office hits, including The Big Short, Crazy, Stupid, Love, and Beautiful Boy. He also received a 2015 Oscar nomination for his role in Foxcatcher.

Rainn Wilson – Then and Now

As a salesman turned regional manager, Wilson’s character, Dwight Schrute, had a passion for martial arts and also lacked common sense. Before the show, Wilson was on the series, Six Feet Under, and starred in a number of films, including Almost Famous and Sahara. Now, Wilson continued to act, mostly doing smaller roles and voiceovers. He’s currently starring on Mom as Dr. Trevor Wells and will appear on the upcoming web series, Utopia.

John Krasinski – Salesman at Dunder Mifflin

Then: As salesman, Jim Halpert, at Dunder Mifflin, he also loved to pull pranks on his co-workers, mainly Dwight Schrute. He eventually went on to form his own company and marry his office crush, Pam Beesly. John Krasinski had a few credits to his name before The Office, including roles in Taxi and Jarhead. And today, 7 years since the show’s end, Krasinski has starred in a number of major movies. He’s also become a director, having directed both A Quiet Place and its sequel. He currently portrays the title character in the Amazon Prime drama Jack Ryan.

Jenna Fischer – Then and Now

On the show, this receptionist turned office administrator, Pam Beesly’s relationship with Jim Halpert’s turns to marriage by the end of the series. Fischer’s prior roles included Melvin Goes to Dinner and Employee of the Month. She also had an uncredited role in The 40-Year-Old Virgin, featuring her future Office co-star Steve Carell. Since then, Fischer furthered her acting career with roles in Blades of Glory, Hall Pass, and The 15:17 to Paris. In 2017, Fischer published her first book, The Actor’s Life: A Survival Guide with an intro from Carell. She also hosts a podcast with her fellow Office alum, Angela Kinsey, titled Office Ladies, where the two discuss different episodes from the series.

Some other co-stars from the show, including Ed Helms, Melora Hardin, B.J. Novak, Mindy Kaling, and James Spader may not have had quite as long resumes created since the show’s closing. However, they still all have plenty of creative ventures like books, a few films, and other television series.
